W. PAUL HOLLINGSWORTH

Paul joined the U.S. Navy while still in high school, fulfilling a life-long dream—just in time for Vietnam. Over the next 20 years, he visited or lived in more than a dozen countries around the world. He served aboard several destroyers, cruisers and aircraft carriers; and served on the staffs of Commander in Chief, U.S. Pacific Fleet; Commander, Cruiser-Destroyer Group EIGHT; and Commander, Battle Force Sixth Fleet. Paul is also a Plank Owner of USS LEFTWICH (DD-984) and Headquarters Support Activity, Makalapa, Hawaii. He retired as an Chief Petty Officer (E-7).

After retirement, Paul taught for St. Leo University, National University and Century University. Other positions he held included Program Analyst for the world’s largest human resources organization; a Clerk of the Court for the Commonwealth of Virginia’s largest District Court; the Chief Administrative Officer for the New Mexico School of Enterostomal Therapy; and the Dean of a university in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Along the way, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from The University of the State of New York in Albany, New York; a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California; and a Doctor of Education from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee.
